The significance of measuring flue gas oxygen content in boilers
Flue gas oxygen content is one of the important monitoring parameters for boiler operation and an important basis for reflecting the completeness of combustion equipment and boiler operation. Its value is related to factors such as boiler structure, fuel type and properties, boiler load, operating air distribution conditions, and equipment sealing conditions. The smaller the oxygen content, the smaller the excess air coefficient, indicating that the heat loss due to incomplete chemical combustion and incomplete mechanical combustion increases; the larger the oxygen content, the larger the excess air coefficient, indicating that too much air is being supplied. Excess air causes a decrease in furnace temperature, which not only affects combustion but also carries away a large amount of heat and dust, increasing the calculated results of pollution emission concentration. At the same time, a large air volume also increases the power consumption of flue gas exhaust. Controlling flue gas oxygen content is of great significance to controlling the combustion process and achieving safe, efficient, and low-pollution emissions.

Common fault analysis and preventive measures of zirconia oxygen analyzer
To ensure the boiler reaches the combustion condition, the power plant introduces the oxygen signal into the combustion automatic control system as a correction signal to control the air volume. This requires that the oxygen content measurement of the boiler flue gas must be accurate and reliable. However, the zirconia oxygen analyzer working in a high-temperature, harsh environment with severe flue gas scouring is prone to failure, so we must strengthen the operation and maintenance of the zirconia oxygen analyzer.

The main reason is that the composition of garbage is very complex. The flue gas produced after garbage incineration mainly consists of hydrogen chloride, hydrogen fluoride, nitrogen oxides, dioxins, and a series of other toxic and harmful gases. These gases, together with the large amount of water vapor produced during garbage incineration, can seriously damage the sensors in the oxygen probe. Domestic zirconia analyzers can only be used normally in garbage power plants for 3-4 months, and even the longest lifespan does not exceed half a year before they need to be replaced.
