Zirconia oxygen analyzer installation methods and precautions
Release time: 2019-07-13
The significance of using a zirconia analyzer to measure the oxygen content in exhaust gas is self-evident. More and more companies are using zirconia oxygen analyzers to monitor the oxygen content in flue gas in real time. This plays a crucial role in controlling the combustion process and achieving safe, efficient, and low-pollution emissions. Of course, when using a zirconia oxygen analyzer, its installation methods and precautions are also essential to understand. Today, the technicians of Anhui Tianfen Instrument Co., Ltd. will provide a detailed explanation of the installation methods and precautions for zirconia analyzers.
Regarding the Installation Method of Zirconia Analyzers
On-site Installation Conditions for Oxygen Detectors
Avoid locations with vibrations;
The ambient temperature must be within the instrument's specified range;
The junction box should be kept away from high-radiation heat sources;
Avoid corrosive gases as much as possible;
There should be sufficient workspace.
Regarding the Selection of Sampling Point Location
The extracted gas sample should quickly reflect changes in the process conditions, i.e., the gas must be representative. To avoid SO2 condensation, the gas temperature at the sampling point should be above 300℃, ranging from 300-600℃****.
The temperature, pressure, and flow rate parameters at the sampling point should not fluctuate significantly.
The length of the sampling probe should reach 1/3 of the flue diameter.
Avoid sampling from the bottom of the pipe or flue.
The furnace and flue near the sampling point should be leak-free; otherwise, measurement errors will occur.
Choose a location that is easy to maintain and repair.
Installation of the Oxygen Detector
Pre-process a device short-circuit pipe with flanges, with a diameter of Φ76 and a length of approximately 400mm. Select the sampling location (furnace wall or pipe) as required, drill a Φ76 hole, and horizontally weld the short-circuit pipe to the furnace wall. Ensure that the weld is airtight during welding. Insert the detector into the short-circuit pipe. Place a 2-4mm thick asbestos gasket between the connecting pipe flange and the detector flange, and tighten the four bolts to ensure airtightness.
※Note: For newly built furnaces or flues, wait for several drying cycles before installing the oxygen probe; otherwise, excessively humid flue gas may reduce the service life of the new probe.
Since the reference gas for the probe is supplied by natural air convection, the probe must be installed horizontally, with the reference gas and standard gas interfaces facing downwards. The opening of the end protective sleeve of the probe (adjustable direction) should also face vertically downwards to prevent ash accumulation.
